Unfortunately in Bangladesh education is still something that everybody does not have access to; financial constraints are still a barrier to many households across the nation. To develop a better society everyone needs to have access to education and to accomplish this, government and non-government forces are necessary.
As a philanthropic organisation we try to fulfill our social responsibilities by providing financial support to families that have trouble sending their children to school. More than two hundred students from low-income households are receiving scholarships from The Akij Foundation to cover their educational expenses at AFSC. The students that receive scholarships are meritorious, hard working and have been performing well in academic and extra curricular activities.
